Performance
A vehicle converted to operate on propane performs almost identically to its gasoline equivalent. Propane has a higher octane rating than gasoline, making engine horsepower virtually identical. In the late 1990’s modern propane fuel-injection technologies with sophisticated electronic controls began to emerge. These technologies work in combination with the OEM electronics and use injectors designed specifically for propane.
Many fleets in North America have logged millions of kilometers using modern propane conversion technology. Propane meets the requirements and rigors of today’s commercial fleet use.
