P38 INC. VENUES AT THE PROPANE GAS ASSOCIATION OF CANADA CONFERENCE TO CONFIRM ITS RESOLVE TO PARTICIPATE IN A RE-DEFINITION OF THE PROPANE INDUSTRY
London, Ontario, Canada – June 3, 2009
The shareholders of P38 Inc. will participate at a national level for the first time, at the Propane Gas Association of Canada annual conference and trade exhibit in Ottawa, Ontario on June 4 and 5, 2009.
In February 2008, a group of propane industry leaders invested and formed P38 Inc., which concurrently funded independent research at the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario and HEC University in Montreal, Province of Quebec.
In June 2008, P38 launched www.propanefacts.ca to publish evidence gathered from those research projects that propane is a safe, clean, cost-effective energy, produced and consumed in diverse global markets.
In early 2008 P38 engaged in discussions and subsequently retained Marsh Risk Consulting, a world leader in risk management, to develop a proprietary industry Code of Practice model. This framework will serve to define operating principles and guidelines relating to safety, security, and risk management practices, adherence to which will be a key condition for participation in or certification by P38. Published third-party P38 risk management accreditation will be a key differentiator for P38 companies in their supply and demand chain management.
P38 is a collaboration of independent companies with diverse competencies who have an uncompromising and like-minded resolve with respect to safety, regulatory compliance, and market development. It is a new and multi-dimensional commitment to exploit the power of ideas and facts, innovation and technology. It is the view of P38 that a new approach is needed by the propane industry to re-define itself and to move forward in a positive strategic direction.
A sustained commitment to research initiatives, matched with global awareness monitoring and diligent benchmarking, will enable P38 to gather the evidence to articulate a compelling, fact-based case for propane as one immediate solution to the demand for multi-application, clean energy.
